got me again

Rachel Antonoff's shoe collaboration with Bass and the accompanying lookbook featuring Tennessee Thomas make me want to weep (tears of joy), skip through a meadow, and then perhaps sing a duet with a bluebird. I'm feeling particularly emotional about that pink patent, which is an unquestionably perfect colour. I do get excited about things in life that aren't clothing related, but most of them are food and most of that food is cheese.

pixie, fleur, lula

Nadinoo A/W 2010 is the stuff dreams are made of. The blue cape is my absolute favourite, and not just because I surrender to the gravitational pull of anything adorned with a bow. We've had a gorgeous autumn (for once) this year, which makes everything here seem all the more worthwhile investing in...

mercury falling

I bought my winter boots yesterday (more on them to come) and am now thinking about coats, mittens, scarves, etc. I've got two fur hats which I can't wait to wear, but am in need of a parka to get me through the months when the temp hovers around -30C. lily+jae have a number of pieces I am currently lusting over (see above), and was one of many Canadian lines carried at the pretty little shop I used to work at. Sadly ann&rosie closed over a year ago, but I unearthed some photos of it to share with y'all.

falling and laughing

This collection has been posted by everyone and their grandma's pet goldfish, but I've waited until now to gush over how obsessed I am with Alexa Chung for Madewell because it's a) seasonally appropriate and b) available beginning this week (Sept 9). I love and would wear everything here, as the collection is not too juvenile in it's sweetness nor lacking in sexier short hems I am fond of. My favorite piece is the brown velvet dress which looks so cozy I might be tempted to hibernate in it all winter.

toadstool

I love everything about everything from TBA's latest collection but the mushroom print is too stupendous for words! Apparently it was inspired by Sedmikrásky, which features an amazing wardrobe throughout the film. I tend to shy away from dresses with full length sleeves but would def wear the above all winter long (with a fitting Cheshire cat grin on my face).

cats, like butterflies, need no excuse

Here's another lookbook post; I'm having a petite conniption over the brilliancy of these shots from Sretsis for their Spring/Summer '11 collection. The ruffles and scalloped edges on certain peices are absolutely beautiful, but the feline prints and surly looking cats strewn about the models are what elevate these to blog worthy level. I'd even take this over Miu Miu Spring '10!

closing reception

Nothing like gorgeous young people in beautiful clothes to cheer me up when I'm feeling blue (or slightly murderous, as the case may be). Opening Ceremony's Fall/Winter '10 lookbook is a manifestation of sheer excellence; I'm particularly entranced by the footwear in the first two photos.
