something in the way she moves

I am absolutely tickled that Lula have conjured a remake of what are some of my favorite images of all time (above), featuring sixties model Pattie Boyd, first wife of George Harrison. I was completely obsessed with the Beatles as a teenager and for years devoured every fact and photo shoot related to them, including their girlfriends who always possessed immaculate clothes, hair and make up. Pattie was my favorite Beatle wife, and I do believe Edie Campbell (below) does justice to the original.

behind blue eyes

Just happened to stumble upon what is still one of my favorite editorials of all time and decided to share these with you (from Lula #4 featuring Zooey Deschanel). There are many valid reasons we all love this girl so much and the above are just a few of them. Post Christmas posts to come!

top of the pops

The Lula Pop Up Shop has moved from Harvey Nichols in London and is now at The Bay in Toronto, where Leith Clark (above) celebrated the 5th anniversary of her beautiful magazine last week. I picked up the latest issue of The Gentlewoman the other day, and while there are a lot of lovely things and people featured in it, I am still very much a Lula girl at heart (who rarely leaves home without some sort of frill, ribbon, or ruffle on my being). Pieces featured in the shop were designed exclusively for Lula by the likes of Miu Miu, Sonia Rykiel, and Rodarte and they are every bit as soft, glittering, and dreamy as one would expect.

Why Don't They Let Us Fall In Love? from Lula #10. By reading this blog you would never get the impression that I am interested in anything aside from bows and cats, but I have come to inform you that I also like cheeseburgers. Renaissance woman up in here.
