France Gall is yet another of my favorite style icons who embodies everything I love about sixties girl style (previously featured: Tennessee Thomas, Marianne Faithfull). Her look was as dreamy as her music, which features prominently on my iPod. As Serge Gainsbourg's French pop protege France hit all the wardrobe high notes: baby doll dresses, bows, knee socks, and always the most perfect little black mary janes. Pay special attention to the ruffled polka dot frock below!
L'echo is one of my favorite songs of all time which you must give a listen for the piano alone. It makes me float away each and every time.

yes! i actually love the song baby pop, cheesy as it is. in france though they still consider her a children's pop star. my friend was buying one of her albums in a music store and the store-workers were snickering at him =l
